Zojirushi 10 Cup Coffee Maker: Zojirushi's new stainless-carafe coffee maker became a favorite at Pleasant Hill Grain as soon as it arrived. It's fast, easy to use, and makes delicious coffee that keeps its great taste for hours. It's durable too... ours gets steady use and it just keeps on making consistently excellent coffee—the best we've ever enjoyed in our offices. Plus, we think it's the best value for the money anywhere.
Superior Carafe: The Zo's stainless carafe is superior to glass in many ways. Its vacuum insulation construction keeps your coffee hot for hours—still 144° after 10 hours—and because it isn't sitting on a heating element constantly, flavor stays fresh instead of becoming bitter and stale. The handle is comfortable, and the lid stays securely in place during brewing and pouring. You can remove carafe during brewing and the no-drip valve stops flow until you return it. Brushed stainless steel construction is lightweight (just 26 oz.) and its micro-brushed luster won't show fingerprints.
Programmable Convenience: Optional timer function will prepare your coffee ahead and have it ready for you when you're ready for it. Clock gives constant time display. Sight gauge offers an easy view of the water level.
Perfect-use tips: From our experience, a few tips to make your Zo coffee experience ideal. First, start with tap-temperature water, not chilled water—brewing temperature is critical to great coffee flavor, and you won't get that if you start with refrigerated water. Secondly, use #4 filters and fold the top edge down slightly. Lastly, the carafe lid scarcely needs to be tightened at all; after you spin the lid down, when it reaches the end of its travel, stop without applying force, otherwise it can be a little difficult to remove... and we do mean a little tiny bit difficult... it's a minor issue and since nothing's gained by torquing the lid down at all, it's easy as pie to prevent.
