DMC 260PD Vacuum Packaging Machine: Easy to use... Just place product in bag, place bag in chamber, close the lid, and machine cycles automatically to provide fast vacuum sealing. When the sealing cycle is complete, the vacuum releases and the lid lifts automatically, ready for your next package. Vacuum strength and heat impulse duration are separately adjustable. When vacuum sealing packages that don't completely fill the chamber, cycle time can be cut dramatically by placing poly spacing boards in the vacuuming chamber to reduce the amount of extractable air. The DMC 260PD/2B has a 10 cubic meter/hour vacuum pump and 10.2" seal bar. Outside dimensions are 18.9"W x 13 "L x 12.6"H. See more performance specs in table below. DMC 700L & 700L/S: These are external vac sealers (non-chamber type.) This configuration lets you seal large and tall bags, with a vertically adjustable roller conveyor. The 700L model has a single heat element; the 700L/S model has dual heat elements to seal thicker-walled bags. The DMC 700 series uses ultra-economical smooth plastic pouches.

VacMaster VP-115 & VP-120 Commercial Vacuum Packaging Machines

The new VacMaster VP-115 & VP-120 vacuum packaging machines get back to basics with traditional commercial technology and design. Built to be user-friendly, these machines allow for simple changes in vacuum and seal time for efficient operation.

Hands-free or hands-on: The difference between these two models is that the VP-120 has an auto-closing/auto-opening lid and the VP-115 has a manually-operated lid. Externally they are identical except for slight differences between the touch panel controls, and the sealing chambers and heat strips of both are also the same between the two machines. Both feature heavy duty construction with stainless steel cabinets. Photos at left illustrate the VP-115 vac in the open position and the VP-120 vac in the closed position.

Home or small business: Both sealers are maintenance free and easy to use—great for vacuum packaging at home or a useful tool in running a small business operation. When sealing with a chamber machine, the vacuum pouch is placed inside the chamber and the lid is closed. Air is sucked out of the entire chamber, not just the pouch itself. This allows air pressure on both the inside and outside of the pouch to remain equal and any liquids to stay inside the pouch. The pouch is then fully sealed and air is returned back into the chamber surrounding the newly sealed pouch. The VP-115 and VP-120 accept chamber pouches up to 11”W x 15”L.

Both sealers use a self-lubricated rocker pump (non-oil-using) and have a cycle time of 30-60 seconds. The VP-115 and VP-210 are built for many years of steady and reliable use. Shipment is by FedEx Ground and price includes shipping within U.S. 48 states.

Two seal bars, each 12.5" long, are positioned at either end of the chamber. The long bar, or the shorter bars, or all three bars, may be used at the same time. Notes for spec table above:

1.) Cycle time is influenced by void volume, the portion of the vacuum chamber that is not occupied by the product to be sealed. Filling unused space with poly boards reduces cycle time. Cycle times quoted in this table are for the "standard" motor and pump configuration; some models are available with optional motor/pump options offering different cycle times.

2.) Power Options: USA electrical power is 60HZ (hertz). Most overseas locations will require 50HZ motor. All USA locations, including residential and business, have both 110V and 220V single-phase (1PH) power available. Some commercial sites also have three phase (3PH) power available. Standard vac sealer motors are single-phase unless "3PH" (three-phase) is specified. Residences are not equipped with three-phase power. A dedicated electrical circuit (one with no other appliances installed) of adequate amperage is required to operate a food sealer. Consult your electrician if you have questions about the electrical supply in your facility. For 50HZ motors or other power options not priced on this page, please call 800-321-1073.

3.) The gas flush option automatically flushes the vacuum chamber with inert gas (most commonly nitrogen) after evacuation of air, and before sealing. This results in a bag that contains no oxygen, but is not sucked down tightly. Items as fragile as potato chips can be vacuum sealed without damage using this option.

4.) Prices are for the standard power option (which is listed first for each model.) Some alternative power options may have upcharge; call for more info. All vacuum sealer machine prices on this page include shipping within U.S. lower 48 states. No sales tax except on sales to Nebraska.

VacMaster BS116 Impulse Heat Sealer: The VacMaster BS116 uses the latest technology to allow different types of bags to be sealed quickly and easily. It has a 16" seal bar that creates a wide 5mm seal. Impulse time is 7 seconds and is controlled by switch mounted on the unit. When power is off, the seal bar is in the lowered position as shown in the image at left. When powered on, the upper seal bar raises. After a bag is placed over the lower bar and the operator presses the side-mounted switch, the upper bar automatically lowers. Thee bag is then automatically sealed and after a two second cooling interval the upper bar lifts automatically and the sealer is ready for another bag. Please note that the BS116 is a sealer only, it is not a vacuum and does not extract air. This sealer will work on standard 3 mil and 4 mil PET clear bags made for commercial vacuum sealing as well as on bags made for consumer vacuum machines, as well as plain poly bags. (The BS116 does not seal mylar bags.)

AmeriVacs AVP-20 Impulse Heat Sealer: The AVP series was designed for heavy-duty applications, with 20" seal bar. End-mounted controls provide an expansive clear work surface. The AVP-20 operates on an external air supply (1CFM@20PSI), not included. A one-tap, steel encased foot switch provides hands-free operation. To ensure uncompromised seal integrity, the AVP will not fire an impulse until the upper and lower jaw completely meet.

Chamber Vacs & External Vacs Compared
Commercial sealing systems fall into two general types: Commercial-duty internal-type "chamber" vacuum sealers (Type #1 below), where your product is placed entirely within the machine for sealing, or commercial "external vac" sealers (Type #2 below).

With chamber-type commercial vacuum packaging systems (Type #1 below), the product is placed entirely in a chamber like the one in the drawing at left, below. Then the lid is closed, and a high speed commercial vacuum pump extracts the air from the entire chamber. When the air has been extracted, a heat strip (indicated in red in image below) automatically seals the bag, then air is allowed back into the chamber surrounding the vacuum sealed bag, and — with fully automatic machines — the lid reopens on its own. The vacuum sealed product is removed, and the process is repeated to seal the next bag. Commercial machines of this type use economical multi-ply bags that are smooth on both the inside and the outside. Various models of chamber-type sealers are displayed on this page, above.

With external-vacuum machines, the product remains outside the machine. Air is extracted by means of a retractable probe (illustrated in green in the image above) in commercial external vac's. This type of machine allows even extremely large bags to be used, for vacuuming items that may not fit into a chamber style machine. Commercial external vac machines should not be confused with lighter duty consumer-grade machines that require the use of more expensive "embossed" plastic pouches. (Commercial external vac sealers use quality, economical commercial bags, which are smooth, rather than embossed.) See external-vacuum sealers here.
