Torrey M22 R-Series Meat Grinders: Powerful & productive. These are high output meat grinders with powerful motors and durable, maintenance-free, oil bath gearboxes (and all steel gears) for long service under hard use. All-steel gears sets these grinders completely apart from consumer type grinders that incorporate at least one plastic gear. Throat diameter measures a large 5.5" x 6.5" at top, and funnels to a 3" x 4" auger inlet, providing for fast and easy feeding. A high-efficiency three-hole guard keeps hands away from the auger for user safety. Grinding plate of #22 meat grinders is 3.25" diameter. New washerless design reduces friction for faster grinding and low maintenance (no washer replacement required.)

Stainless/cast construction: Headstock and screw are tin-dipped cast iron for long life and superior hygiene. Housing and pan and are food grade stainless steel. Legs have 1" of length adjustability.

Certifications: Torrey M22-RW and M22-RW2 meat grinders are UL listed and USDA and NSF approved.

You will see that the grinding rate for the 2 HP model M22-RW2 is very similar to the 1 HP model M22-RW, below. This is because both have the same size throat and grinding plate. The RW2 is preferred for for grinding especially tough materials such as game meat and whole chickens including the chicken bones, where the extra horsepower is advantageous. For larger animals, with any grinder, all bone must be removed.

Note: A knife and plate develop a mated wear pattern as they operate together (same as a piston in an engine cylinder sleeve), so it's important to always keep them together as a set. When you reverse the plate to use the new side, use a new knife. Using an unmatched knife/plate set will cause bad performance, rapid wear and possibly breakage. So you will normally want to have two blades for every plate. Stainless and carbide knives work the same except carbide will wear longer. Both are resharpenable.

Heavy Duty 110V Foot Switch: This foot switch can be used to turn your 110V meat grinder (or other machines) on & off, allowing operator free use of hands. Especially useful when stuffing sausage. Ruggedly constructed for long life with full steel housing, nonskid base pad, and textured traction pad. Comes with 8' cord and 3 prong series-plug, prewired. Just plug it in and go (the plug on the end of the footswitch's cord is inserted into 110 volt wall receptacle, then the meat grinder plug is piggybacked into the footswitch plug. So no wiring is required.) Switch is momentary type, meaning that power is supplied to meat grinder cord while pedal is held down and power is cut off when pedal is released. Rated 15 amps maximum.
