The Berkey® MP Solar Charger: Environmentally friendly source of ample, free electricity from the sun. Its multi-voltage capabilities (6V, 7.2V and 12V), multiple adapters and six powerful AAA Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries (550 MAH ea.) provide a backup power source for the Berkey® LED system and can also be used to power a countless number of other devices. Folds conveniently for storage or transport. Includes cables and connectors for a wide variety of connection options. Will directly fit some cell phones, and will charge any cell phone for which you have a 12V "cigarette lighter" adapter. The Berkey® Solar Charger's six AAA NiMH batteries can be removed after charging, allowing you to charge up additional AAA NiMH or NiCad batteries. Also, the Solar Charger will plug directly into the LED lamp base for the Berkey Light® purifier (shown above) to recharge its internal power supply.
