UL Valve 1565 		UL Valve #1565: Fits all models. This part measures about 3/4" in diameter at its widest point. Fits all models. The blue parts are silicone rubber. To replace, just push old valve out of the lid by pushing from the top side of the lid, and press the new valve into the hole from the underside of the lid so that the spring is visible on the bottom side of lid. This valve typically needs to be replaced only when steam starts to escape through it during normal cooking, causing pressure loss.

O-Ring 3221 		O-Ring #3221: Fits valves for all models of cookers except the "Turn Top" cooker models and the TIMAX models. Valve Caps 1488		 Valve Caps #1488: This is the little plastic cap that fits on top of the pressure valve, and this one is for current models. This part measures about 9/16" in diameter. Threaded hole on the underside simply screws onto the top of the valve stem. Sold only as a pair. Note the shape: These have a straight-sided cylindrical shape, and the shape is how you should identify whether this is the cap needed for your cooker.

Replacement Gaskets

Kuhn Rikon recommends replacing lid gaskets annually.

Replacement Lid Gaskets for Kuhn Rikon Pressure Cookers

You can order gaskets by model number for current models. (For older models: The gasket sizes refer to the diameter across the inside edge of the gasket itself, not the diameter of the cooker. To convert from inches to centimeters, multiply inches x 2.54.)

Gaskets should be replaced periodically, as they will harden over time and stop working (which will cause seal loss, and your cooker won't work.) It's easiest to order a spare with your cooker, and it's also good to have a backup in case yours gets nicked or damaged by a stove burner, etc.

Flame Tamer/Energy Saver Disk

Our flame tamer will protect your smaller pressure cooker and your gasket on gas stoves. Especially recommended for the shallow Pressure Frypans, but equally effective for all other pressure cookers, stainless and copper cookware.
