Universal Mixer Bowl Parts |
Bowl Shell with Spur Gear installed only (Item 11-UNBA1): (Please read note in yellow box just below, first. We recommend buying this assembly rather than trying to separate your old spur gear from your old bowl to re-use either one.)
Also... most old spur gears have slots that facilitate removal of the drive shaft. (In the photo at left, the slots are the "elongated" parts of the small hole at the top of the center column). But IF your old spur gear is different from the one shown at left, having NO slots for the drive shaft cross pin to slide through for removal, then you have three options regarding the drive shaft assembly. Option #1 is that you can order a whole new drive shaft assembly below on this page. Option #2 is that you can remove the small cross-pin at the very top of the shaft with the proper size of punch (not real easy to do unless you have a well-equipped shop) and replace it with a new cross pin (also available below.) Option #3 is to demolish the old spur gear with a large hammer (and maybe chisel), taking eye-protection precautions and being careful not to damage the drive shaft in the process. By demolishing the spur gear in this way, you can then remove the drive shaft for re-use. No matter which approach you take, be sure tools are used on your machine only by persons who are qualified to use them safely.

Bowl Assembly Note: Please note that to disassemble the spur gear (see image above) from the bowl shell requires removal of screws at the top/inside of the bowl column. Over the years Bosch has used more than one type of screw head in this spot. We have no way to know which type of screws your bowl might have, and to remove them you will need a screwdriver with extra long shaft and the proper sort of tip. Removal can be further complicated by corrosion of screw heads and threads from long-term exposure to dampness. For these reasons, we highly recommend buying #UNBA1 (above) if you want bowl shell and spur gear pre-assembled and ready for attachment of the shaft drive assembly. |
Important: Before ordering any individual replacement parts for the Universal bowl, be sure to read the "Bosch Bowl Parts Preface"at top of page.

This is the entire assembly pictured at left. It arrives assembled & attaches easily to your bowl with four screws. (Re-use your old screws or order new ones below.) |
Note: This is NOT the entire assembly pictured at left, it is only the straight shaft part. |
| The separate bushing 046732 has been discontinued by the manufacturer. |
This is a pkg. of two circlips used to hold the bushing in place on the drive shaft. |
This is a pkg. of two stainless washers used in the assembly. |
This is six stainless screws used to attach the drive shaft to the bowl. |
Note: There is, and always has been, only one style of dough hook for the white plastic bowl for the Universal model Bosch mixer. This is it, and it makes magnificently developed bread dough. This dough hook fits any Bosch Universal model.

Note: Bosch recommends using the new Cookie Paddle accessory (below) for mixing non-pourable batters. The Wire Whips and Batter Whisks are not warranted against breaking or bending because the Bosch motor is strong enough to easily bend them in heavier materials. The Cookie Paddles (below) carry a 5 year manufacturer's warranty.

New Cookie Paddles |
Great New Bosch Mixer Accessory: Bosch recommends using the wire whips and batter whisks (which are shown above) for pourable batters. Heavier cookie batters can be mixed with your Universal dough hook, but now you have the ideal option: The new cookie paddles for the Bosch Universal mixer, manufactured by the U.S. Bosch importer! These snap onto the metal Whip Drive piece — that's the oval-cone shaped part (#11-048945, shown in drawing on this page above.) The cookie paddles are warranted against defect by the manufacturer for 5 years. This is a very useful accessory, highly recommended! (NOTE: If you have the newer "Universal Plus" model of mixer with the white colored whip drive, you will need to purchase the set of paddles that's packaged with a metal drive to use them on. You can see that package here.)
"Quantity 1" for this items means one pair of paddles.

This is the knob for the Universal mixer. It does NOT include the electric switch inside (which is listed next.) |
This is the replacement control switch for the Bosch Universal mixer. Substantial disassembly is required to replace the switch so we recommend purchasing it only if you have someone to install it who's mechanically adept. This part does NOT include the knob; if your old knob needs replacement, those are listed just above. |

Note: Before ordering disks, be certain whether you have the "Food Processor" attachment OR the "Slicer Shredder" attachment. The "Food Processor" has 5-cup capacity and mounts on the high-speed drive shaft of the Universal (the same place where the blender fits onto.) The "Slicer Shredder" has 12-cup capacity and mounts on the low-speed drive shaft of the Universal mixer (the same drive that the large dough-mixing bowl fits onto.) Disks shown here are for the "Food Processor" only.
Another distinguishing feature between the "Slicer Shredder" and the "Food Processor" is that the bottom-running blade shown above (item labeled "3") will NOT fit into the "Slicer Shredder" attachment.
If you need disks for the "Slicer Shredder" attachment, click here. |
Please exercise caution when handling these parts... the cutting edges are VERY sharp! |

Universal Blender Parts |
The Complete Universal Blender: Before getting into parts, here's the complete blender. It comes with pitcher, blade assembly, lid and funnel cap (included but not illustrated at left)... the whole works... and this blender will fit onto any Bosch Universal mixer model, regardless of the age of the Universal. Tip: The blender lid doubles as a handy "wrench" that makes removal and replacement of the blade assembly fast & easy, but remember that rather than unscrewing all the way, you just give it a quarter-turn, then it pulls straight out easily.

This is the replacement polycarbonate pitcher only. |
This blade assembly for the new style blenders includes a gasket. |
Lid does not include funnel cap (it's available below) |
This is the clear plastic (removable) funnel that fits into the center of the blender lid on Universal model mixers (does not fit newer Universal Plus mixer.) |
These gaskets fit Universal blenders having metal blade assembly hubs. The blade assembly hub is the cone-shaped part which the blades and blade shaft are mounted in. If your blender blade assembly hub is plastic instead, then see the gaskets listed immediately below. Note: Orders consisting of gaskets-only will be shipped by U.S. Mail First Class Postage, and the standard shipping/handling of $7.95 for orders under $99 will apply. |

These gaskets fit Universal blenders having plastic blade assembly hubs. The blade assembly hub is the cone-shaped part which the blades and blade shaft are mounted in. (If your blender blade assembly hub is metal instead, then see the gaskets listed immediately above.) After installing new gasket on your blade assembly, to reinstall the blade assembly in the pitcher, hold the blender pitcher straight upright while looking downward through the pitcher and inserting the blade assembly into the base of the pitcher. This technique will help prevent the the blender from being knocked out of position during reinstallation. Note: Orders consisting of gaskets-only will be shipped by U.S. Mail First Class Postage, and the standard shipping/handling of $7.95 for orders under $99 will apply. (Click for explanation of flat-rate S/H policy.) |
This fits on the Universal mixer base (not onto the blender) to cover the blender drive or the bowl drive when one or the other is not in use. |
This is the white plastic part on the underside of the blender. In use, it connects to the High Speed Drive on the mixer. Note: If you need a new one of these, be sure to carefully inspect your "High Speed Drive" (it's the next item listed, below)... because usually if your Blender Drive Coupling goes out, the resultant slippage also ruins the High Speed Drive. Note: Orders including the High Speed Drive and/or the Blender Coupler (and no additional parts that are large) will be shipped by U.S. Priority Mail, and if order total is under $99, the standard shipping/handling of $7.95 for orders under $99 will apply. (Click for explanation of flat-rate S/H policy.) |
This is the piece that drives the blender. It's pictured below, both on and off the mixer. Your old one can be pulled off with a pliers, and the new one will press onto the shaft by hand. Be sure to align the flat parts of its socket with the flat parts of the shaft, and push hard so it goes on all the way. Note: Orders including the High Speed Drive and/or the Blender Coupler (and no additional parts that are large) may be shipped by U.S. Priority Mail, and if order total is under $99, the standard shipping/handling of $7.95 for orders under $99 will apply. (Click for explanation of flat-rate S/H policy.) Note: If you need a new one of these, be sure to inspect your "Blender Coupler" (it's the item listed just above)... because the most common cause of failure of the High Speed Drive is deterioration of the Blender Coupler. You'll ruin your new High Speed Drive if you put a blender on it that has a bad Blender Coupler, and Bosch doesn't warrant the HSD against abuse of that nature.
