|

Bowl Pack Bosch Universal (no dough hook): This item is the same as the Bowl Pack Complete (above) except that it does NOT include the dough hook. Bowl with Spur Gear and Drive Shaft, Assembled (Item 11-UNBA2): If your Universal needs a new bowl, this assembly will save you the job of dissassembly/reassembly, which can be difficult if your screws, esp. the spur gear screws, have corroded. (The spur gear is the fluted part at top of center column.) This assembly contains no lid, no splash ring, no whips, no whip drive, and no dough hook. Also note that if your spur gear does not have a slot for the drive shaft cross pin to slide through (some have the slots, some don't... in the photo at left, the slots are the "elongated" parts of the small hole at the top of the center column), then the cross pin must be hammered out with a punch and replaced with new pin in order to separately replace either drive shaft or spur gear. This assembly will save you all that trouble.

Bowl Shell with Spur Gear installed only (Item 11-UNBA1): (Please read note in yellow box just below, first.) Also, if your spur gear has no slots for the drive shaft cross pin to slide through (some have the slots, some don't... in the photo at left, the slots are the "elongated" parts of the small hole at the top of the center column), then the cross pin must be hammered out with a punch and replaced with new pin in order to separately replace either the drive shaft or the spur gear. Rather than try to re-use your drive shaft assembly at all, you may want to order # 11-UNBA2 (see above) for effortless replacement.

Bowl Assembly Note: Please note that to disassemble the spur gear (see image above) from the bowl shell requires removal of screws at the top/inside of the bowl column. Over the years Bosch has used more than one type of screw head in this spot. We have no way to know which type of screws your bowl might have, and to remove them you will need a screwdriver with extra long shaft and the proper sort of tip. Removal can be further complicated by corrosion of screw heads and threads. For these reasons, we highly recommend buying #UNBA2 above if you want bowl shell and spur gear plus drive shaft assembly, all ready to drop on onto any Bosch Universal Mixer base. |
|
Important: Before ordering any individual replacement parts for the Universal bowl, be sure to read the "Bosch Bowl Parts Preface"at top of page.

Note: Bosch recommends using the new Cookie Paddle accessory (below) for mixing non-pourable batters. The Wire Whips and Batter Whisks are not warranted against breaking or bending because the Bosch motor is strong enough to easily bend them in heavier materials. The Cookie Paddles (below) carry a 5 year manufacturer's warranty.

The New Style Stainless Steel Bowl for the Bosch Universal mixer has a center drive shaft, enabling the Universal's standard wire whisks and BreadMaster dough hook (as well as the new accessory cookie paddles) to be used in it. Capacity is 5 quarts, the same as the Makrilon bowl. This bowl is sold without dough hook, whisks or lid, because those pieces from the Universal's standard Makrilon bowl fit onto this bowl. (Lower photo shows the Universal dough hook in the bowl.) Fits on the Universal's low speed drive. The drive shaft detaches in seconds from below for quick, easy cleanup. Click for more photos showing the removable drive shaft. This new bowl is one of the most popular Bosch Universal Mixer accessories.

New Cookie Paddles |
Great New Bosch Universal Accessory: Bosch recommends using the wire whips and batter whisks (which are shown below) for pourable batters. Heavier cookie batters can be mixed with your Universal dough hook, but now you have the ideal option: the new Bosch cookie paddle! These snap onto your Universal mixer's whip drive in place of your whips and they carry a 5 year manufacturer's warranty against breakage. They're made of an extremely tough thermoplastic called Delrin. This is a great new accessory for your Bosch mixer. They've been moving faster than salmon patties at a cat picnic, and we recommend them highly. (Please note that these paddles cannot be used with the "Turbo Whip Drive" on the Bosch Solitaire mixer model.)
"Quantity 1" of the paddles means a pair.

This is the knob for the Universal mixer. It does NOT include the electric switch inside (which is listed next.) |
|
This is the replacement control switch for the Bosch Universal mixer. Substantial disassembly is required to replace the switch so we recommend purchasing it only if you have someone to install it who's mechanically adept. This part does NOT include the knob; if your old knob needs replacement, those are listed just above. |
