Universal Plus Mixer Bowl Parts |
|
Important: Before ordering any parts off this page, to be sure you're ordering for the model of mixer that you own. (Check photos at top of page.) Parts on this page are for the new Bosch Universal Plus. (If you have the "Classic" model Bosch mixer, you need to go here instead.) Parts for these two mixer lines look very similar, but many are not interchangeable.

This is the cap that covers the blender-mounting spot when no accessory is being used there. Without either an accessory or else this cover in place, a safety lockout switch prevents motor operation. |

This is the suction-cup foot for under the base of the Universal Plus mixer. Sold individually. Disassembly is not required to replace these: Just push up into place and give the foot a quarter-turn. |

This is the rubber bumper-pad on the back side of the Universal Plus mixer. Sold individually. When you use accessories like the meat grinder, the motor base is turned on its back and these bumpers then serve as the machine's feet. |

"SB4"-style stainless bowl. (Does not include pictured dough hook.)
|
Bosch Mixer Stainless Steel Bowl ("SB4")
The "SB4" Style Stainless Steel Bowl (MUZ6SB4) for the Bosch Universal Plus mixer has a center drive shaft, enabling the Universal's standard wire whisks and BreadMaster dough hook (as well as the new accessory cookie paddles) to be used in it. Capacity is 6.5 quarts. This bowl is sold without dough hook, whip drive, whisks, splash ring or lid. (Those pieces from the Universal Plus mixer's standard plastic bowl fit onto this bowl.) (Lower photo shows the Universal dough hook in the bowl.) This bowl fits on the Universal Plus mixer's low speed drive (the same place the standard plastic bowl mounts.) The drive shaft detaches in seconds from below for quick, easy cleanup. Click for more photos showing the removable drive shaft. (Important note: If you have the older model Universal mixer, Model 6622 or 6610 or previous, do not order this bowl because your lid would not fit onto it. You would need the MUZ6SB3 bowl instead, and you can order that "-SB3" bowl here.)
Important: There are two differences between this bowl and the "ER2" bowl shown above. The first is that this bowl does not include a splash ring or a lid (you use the ring and lid that come with the mixer, or extras can be purchased.) The second major difference is that the the ER2 bowl "locks" onto the base of the Universal Plus mixer, so that during operation, the ER2 bowl cannot rock around at all. This SB4 bowl lacks "locking tabs", so it will rock around a bit when you're doing an operation like kneading dough. This method of attachment is the same as all older-style Bosch mixers employed. The bowl will not fall off of the mixer base, but it will tip side to side a little bit during kneading operations. This can also sometimes contribute to the mixer itself "walking" on the counter to one degree or another. Because of this potential, it is best to limit this bowl to a maximum dough load about 20-25% less than you could do in the ER2 bowl (or the standard plastic bowl.) If you don't mind these comparative limitations compared to the ER2 bowl, the attraction of this SB4 bowl is its lower cost.

Note: Before ordering disks, be certain whether you have the "Food Processor" attachment or the "Slicer Shredder" attachment. The "Food Processor" has 5-cup capacity and mounts on the high-speed drive shaft of the Universal (the same place where the blender fits onto.) The "Slicer Shredder" has 12-cup capacity and mounts on the low-speed drive shaft of the Universal mixer (the same drive that the large dough-mixing bowl fits onto.) Disks shown here are for the "Food Processor" only.
Another distinguishing feature between the "Slicer Shredder" and the "Food Processor" is that the bottom-running blade shown above (item labeled "3") will NOT fit into the "Slicer Shredder" attachment.
If you need disks for the "Slicer Shredder" attachment, click here. |
Please exercise caution when handling these parts... the cutting edges are VERY sharp! |

Blender Parts for Bosch Universal Plus |
Important notes about blender parts:
1: The individual replacement parts below fit only the New Style blender for the Bosch Universal Plus mixer. (Click here to jump to page-top to identify your mixer model.)
2: The Complete New Style blender pictured just below will fit any Bosch Universal mixer, regardless of mixer model or age. (This includes the Classic Universal and the Universal Plus.)
|
|
The Complete Universal Blender: Before getting into parts, here's the complete blender. It comes with pitcher, blade assembly, lid and funnel cap ... the whole works... and this blender will fit onto any Bosch Universal mixer model, regardless of the age of the Universal. If part of your blender has failed due to sheer age and/or lots of use, you might be wise to replace the whole thing.
Tip: The blender lid doubles as a handy "wrench" that makes removal and replacement of the blade assembly fast & easy, but remember that rather than unscrewing all the way, you just give it a quarter-turn, then it pulls straight out easily.

This is the replacement polycarbonate pitcher only. |

This blade assembly for the new style blenders includes a gasket. |

This is the clear plastic (removable) funnel that fits into the center of the blender lid. |

These gaskets fit Universal blenders having metal blade assembly hubs. The blade assembly hub is the cone-shaped part which the blades and blade shaft are mounted in. If your blender blade assembly hub is plastic instead, then see the gaskets listed immediately below. Note: Orders consisting of gaskets-only will be shipped by U.S. Mail First Class Postage, and the standard shipping/handling of $7.95 for orders under $99 will apply. |

These gaskets fit Universal blenders having plastic blade assembly hubs. The blade assembly hub is the cone-shaped part which the blades and blade shaft are mounted in. (If your blender blade assembly hub is metal instead, then see the gaskets listed immediately above.) After installing new gasket on your blade assembly, to reinstall the blade assembly in the pitcher, hold the blender pitcher straight upright while looking downward through the pitcher and inserting the blade assembly into the base of the pitcher. This technique will help prevent the the blender from being knocked out of position during reinstallation. Note: Orders consisting of gaskets-only will be shipped by U.S. Mail First Class Postage, and the standard shipping/handling of $7.95 for orders under $99 will apply. (Click for explanation of flat-rate S/H policy.) |

This fits on the Universal mixer base (not onto the blender) to cover the blender drive or the bowl drive when one or the other is not in use. |
|
This is the white plastic part on the underside of the blender. In use, it connects to the High Speed Drive on the mixer. Note: If you need a new one of these, be sure to carefully inspect your "High Speed Drive" (it's the next item listed, below)... because usually if your Blender Drive Coupling goes out, the resultant slippage also ruins the High Speed Drive. Note: Orders including the High Speed Drive and/or the Blender Coupler (and no additional parts that are large) will be shipped by U.S. Priority Mail, and if order total is under $99, the standard shipping/handling of $7.95 for orders under $99 will apply. (Click for explanation of flat-rate S/H policy.) |
This is the piece that drives the blender. It's pictured below, both on and off the mixer. Your old one can be pulled off with a pliers, and the new one will press onto the shaft by hand. Be sure to align the flat parts of its socket with the flat parts of the shaft, and push hard so it goes on all the way. Note: Orders including the High Speed Drive and/or the Blender Coupler (and no additional parts that are large) may be shipped by U.S. Priority Mail, and if order total is under $99, the standard shipping/handling of $7.95 for orders under $99 will apply. (Click for explanation of flat-rate S/H policy.) Note: If you need a new one of these, be sure to inspect your "Blender Coupler" (it's the item listed just above)... because the most common cause of failure of the High Speed Drive is deterioration of the Blender Coupler. You'll ruin your new High Speed Drive if you put a blender on it that has a bad Blender Coupler, and Bosch doesn't warrant the HSD against abuse of that nature.
