Ordering Online



Our online ordering system is designed to be very "up front" with you:
By this we mean there are no hidden charges, and you'll know from the very start what your shipping cost will be (most orders over $99 ship free to 48 states... more about that below.) The page you're reading now is not used for online ordering, but our ordering system is explained here. Reading this page will help make shopping with us easy and trouble-free.

Before we explain how it works, here are some key things to know:


Shipping Methods: Most online-ordered items ship by FedEx Ground except where otherwise noted within product descriptions, and some small items will be shipped by U.S. Mail (read more about this .) For other shipping options, please call (see phone hours below.) Note: FedEx Ground delivers to business addresses Monday-Friday and to residences Tuesday-Saturday. So for surface shipping, there are no FedEx deliveries to residential addresses on Mondays, but this is offset by the fact that they do make residential deliveries on Saturdays, and there is no "weekend delivery" surcharge for doing this. Out-of-Stock Items: The shopping cart system normally doesn't accept out-of-stock items. The "Shopping Summary" page will notify you of this, and any out-of-stock items will not go into, or be shown in, the cart. (The "Shopping Summary" page is the page you'll see if you click a "View Cart or Checkout" button.) For ETA of out-of-stock items, call 800-321-1073. Also, over the phone you can usually place a Back Order for out-of-stock items if you want to do that. Sometimes a product description will be accompanied by a notice that the cart will take back orders for that particular out-of-stock item. In the event of such an exception, the text-box explaining this will be prominently visible.
Shipping Cost:
(Free or Flat-Rate)
Ground shipping to the U.S. 48 states is FREE on orders that total over $99 except for a few items where the product description page clearly states a shipping cost or requires a freight quotation. (For those few "exception items," free shipping is not available.) For online orders totaling under $99, shipping and handling is $7.95 flat-rate for the entire order to the U.S. 48 states. Most online orders ship by FedEx Ground, with some small orders shipping by U.S. Mail (read more.)
Terms & Conditions: Ordering — as they say — constitutes agreement with these terms and conditions. Please read 'em first.
Alaska, Hawaii & Canada: Orders for shipment to AK, HI and Canada can be placed by phone only.
Ship-Out Time: Most orders placed by noon Central Time ship-out same or next business day. (See special notices on website or call for pre-Christmas ship-out times.)
Shipping Transit Time: Click to see in-transit shipping times.
Checking Order Status If you specify a password when asked during checkout, you'll be able to come back later and check the status of your order. You'll also be able to "log in" to reorder in the future, saving yourself some info-entry steps.
Sales Tax: No sales tax will be charged unless your order is shipped to an address in Nebraska or Kentucky.
"Cookies" &
Pop-Up Blockers:
If you've changed your Internet browser to block "browser cookies," you'll need to re-enable them temporarily to order online.
Also, more supplemental information will be available to you while ordering if you do not block "pop-up" windows.
Print Your Receipt! The last page of Checkout is your receipt. Be sure to print and file it, as you might need it later for warranty proof.


To order online, follow these steps:


A.) Select the quantity of an item you want to buy, then click "Add To Cart." Repeat for each item desired. You may click the "View Cart or Checkout" button at any time to see (or edit) items in your Shopping Cart, or to complete your purchase. The page that you see when you click the "View Cart or Checkout" button is called the "Order Summary" page. For security reasons, shopping sessions expire after 1 hour of inactivity, and if that happens, your cart will be cleared.




  Note: Out-of-stock items normally won't be accepted by the Shopping Cart. If you click to add an item that's out of stock, a statement on the "Order Summary" page will notify you that some items were omitted for this reason, and you'll want to note which items did not show up in your cart. (To view the "Order Summary" page, click the "View Cart or Checkout" button at any time.) To ask about the ETA of out-of-stock items, call 800-321-1073. Also, over the phone you can usually place a "back order" for out-of-stock items if you wish. Occasionally a product description will be accompanied by a notice that the cart will take back orders for that item. In the event of such an exception, the text-box explaining this will be prominently visible.





B.) When you're done shopping, click any "View Cart or Checkout" button. This will take you to the "Order Summary" page which shows all items added to the cart, with your shipping cost (if there is any) and your grand total. You can remove items or change quantities here. When ready, click "Checkout" button at bottom of page. This will take you to the page which is identified as "Step 1" of the shopping cart.




Easy 3-Step Checkout
Step 1 of 3:
(Customer Information)
New customers: Fill out name, address, next of kin, etc. (Just kiddin' about the kin.) Returning customers can "log in" if you entered a password during a previous order. On this page you can choose to subscribe to our free newsletter (inaugural issue is due out in the next few months) with machine use tips, recipes, specials... good stuff. And did we mention that it's... "free"?

Also on this page, if you wish you can choose to order by phone, fax or mail... these options exist so you can create an order form online and then mail your payment by check, or fax your order in with credit card info. You can also complete your order online and then call us with your credit card info. (Our online ordering system does protect your customer data with encryption.) When you're ready, click the "Continue Checkout" button.
Step 2 of 3:
(Payment Information)
Enter your Visa, MasterCard or Discover info here to make online payment, then click "Checkout" button (click it just once) to proceed. There may be a short wait while your card is being processed.
  Step 3 of 3:
(Order Finished/Print Receipt)
When you see this page, your payment has been processed and your order has been transmitted to us for processing. This "Step 3" page is your receipt, so be sure to print the page and file it for your records. You may need it in the future as proof of purchase. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you automatically at this stage. That e-mail may not arrive if you or your ISP (Internet Service Provider) use blocking software, but that would have no effect on the fulfillment of your order.
That's it, mission accomplished! If you want to check the status of your order later, you can do that by visiting
http://www.pleasanthillgrain.com/ssl/orderHistory.aspx. And if you specify a password (in "Step 1" of the checkout process), in the future you will also be able to see the history of other orders placed with us, prior to your then-current order.



Phone Ordering & Holiday Schedule




Prefer to call your order in?
Just call 800-321-1073 during our phone hours shown below. You can provide your order info and pay by credit or debit card (Visa/Mastercard/Discover) for immediate shipment or you can complete the order by sending a check or money order. Orders paid with a money order purchased from a U.S. Post Office are processed for shipment as soon as we receive the payment. Orders paid with checks or with non-U.S.-Postal money orders must wait to clear the bank before they can be processed.

... During our phone hours, we're able to answer most calls with a real, live person. If everyone's busy helping other customers, you'll get voicemail. When that happens, we make every effort to return your call within minutes if you leave your phone number with area code. It will really help us if you tell us the number very clearly, and sloooowly enough to write it down... thanks! Of course, you can also request a call-back by e-mailing us.

Mail Ordering



There are two ways to order by mail:

  Mail Option #1: You can use our convenient shopping cart system (see Online Ordering above) to create a printable order form for mailing. When you are on "Step 1 of 3" in our checkout process, you'll have the option to select to pay "By Mail." Selecting that option will lead to a printable order form that is filled in with your items and your shipping info, which you can then mail to us along with your chosen method of payment.

Mail Option #2:
Or... You can call us with your order at 800-321-1073, then mail your payment to the address below.


Payment options for Mail Orders: You can pay by credit or debit card, check, or money order. Orders paid with a money order purchased from a U.S. Post Office are processed for shipment as soon they're received (for a U.S. Postal Money Order you must take cash to a U.S. Post Office.) Orders paid with checks or with money orders from any place other than the U.S. Post office must wait to clear the bank before your order can be processed.

Local Pick-Ups


Orders can be picked up at our Hampton facility, if you prefer. Because products are stored in our warehouse for shipping fulfillment, orders to be picked up need to be placed by phone first (and mention your interest in picking-up) to allow for stock-checking and also to allow time for your order to be processed and collected from inventory, which normally takes about 2 hours. (You can see our phone hours here.) Orders for pickup also must be pre-paid by credit card at the time of phone order placement. All of the products we offer can be browsed via our website, but at this time, product browsing isn't possible at the Hampton facility. Actual pick-up of orders is available on weekdays (not Saturday or Sunday), and between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Central Time. We must collect Nebraska state sales tax on picked-up orders. (Remember too, that shipping is free on most orders over $99 to 48-state locations!)
