5 Gallon Square Buckets: These five gallon buckets are square, and include a unique reclosable lid. The lid ships unattached, and can be installed with a rubber mallet (or regular hammer and a wooden 2x4 to prevent lid damage.) After it's initially installed, the lid is completely air tight and water tight, having a rubber gasket. Later, when you're ready to break the seal (by tearing away the lower skirt of the front lid section), the lid hinges open as shown in the upper image at left. The lid has molded-in latches to hold it open as shown, and also has a clip-over latch that holds it securely in the closed position. After the initial seal is broken, the lid (when in the closed position) is close-fitting, but is no longer air or water tight. The closeness of the fit is such that if held upside down with some water inside, the water will come out in a fast trickle. (If you need fully gasketed resealability, see our Gamma Seal lids instead.) We have tested the lid's hinge to over 1000 open/close cycles. Made of food-safe virgin polyethylene.

Dimensions: 10"W x 10"D x 16-3/4"H. Thanks to their square shape, these buckets will give you five gallons of storage where a regular five gallon bucket won't quite fit.
