The Meadows mill is simple to operate and built for very long life. Stones turn at 875 RPM for a cool grind that preserves the full nutrition and best taste of the flour. These are commercial mills and have been in use for decades in the U.S. and worldwide. The 8" mill is available with two motor options: The 1HP model has a 75% duty cycle and comes prewired with switch, power cord and plug end ready to plug into your 120V outlet. A 75% duty cycle means that out of each hour, the mill will grind for 45 minutes, then requires a 15 minute cool-down. The 2HP model has a 100% duty cycle so it can operate nonstop. This model is sold with an On/Off switch and a power cord without a plug end, which needs to be supplied by the user and connected to 220V power by a qualified electrician.

Assembly "C" is the most popular model of Meadows 8" mill and has bottom discharge. The Assembly "C" model features a new 5" diameter discharge outlet mounted underneath the mill. This new standard feature allows the operator to attach the optional Brute Cover to protect flour from airborne contamination after the milling process. The Brute Cover consists of a two-tiered canvas skirt with inner skirt to fit inside your tote container, and outer skirt which is then easily and snugly secured around the top of your flour container opening with a standard bungee cord.

Meadows 8" mills have a grinding speed of 50 lbs/hour wheat, 60 lbs/hour corn (faster for coarser grinds). The 7 quart hopper can be fed from your self-supported overhead bin if you wish.
