Security FoodPak 2™ A Full Year's Emergency Dehydrated Food Supply for One Adult, Less Bulk Grain & Beans


FoodPak 2 has all of the highest-value, less-weighty items you want in your backup food supply. The bulk grains and beans of FoodPak 1 have been omitted for you to acquire locally if you prefer that approach. To this package you should add 270 lbs. of wheat or equivalent carbohydrate/fiber source, and 125 lbs. of beans, plus baking soda, baking powder, and yeast, (as provided in FoodPak 1.) The useful Mix-A-Meal Cookbook is included with FoodPak 2; it offers 110 pages of recipes for cooking with dry stored foods. Scroll down on this page for itemized contents of FoodPak 2.

The foods in the 13 Case Unit are all dehydrated and sealed in robust, oxygen-free packaging. In this extremely compact form they will store well and take up a minimum amount of storage space. This 378 lb., 13-case unit requires a storage area of just 11 cubic feet (stacking example: 7 feet by 12.5" by 18.5".)

Shipping: You pay no additional shipping beyond the cost on the Buy Buttons below. Grain is an exception to the free shipping rules, but the cost of shipping and handling per unit is included in the Buy Button price for each of the shipping zones.

Ordering: To order, simply find which shipping zone your state is in, and select the Buy Button for shipping to your zone. Shipping is by UPS Ground for orders of one or two units of FoodPak 2 (except Alaska/Hawaii which always ship by U.S. Priority Mail.) Note: All of the #10-size cans listed above come completely sealed (water-tight and air-tight.) You also get a plastic snap-on lid to put onto each can after opening. To preserve maximum freshness and shelf-life after opening a #10 can, we recommend that after opening a can, you subdivide the contents into smaller containers with tightly fitting screw-on caps. These could be saved disposable food containers (like mayonnaise or pickle jars, for example), or you could just purchase some Mason jars and lids locally. This will allow you to return the majority of the contents of a #10 can to storage in a cool, dry place, while keeping one container handy in your food preparation area. Following this practice will help ensure that once the #10 can is opened, all of its contents remain good until you use them up.

Furthermore, contaminants reduced to below-detectable-limits include Trihalomethanes, Radon 222, and volatile organic compounds including Benzene, 2,4-D, Heptachlor, MTBE, Styrene, Tetrachloroethylene and Toulene, among many others.

Two-can case of 12-egg pouches: Our Ova Easy eggs are available in two packaging choices. In the first option, 12 eggs are sealed into each 4.5 ounce (net wt.) airtight foil pouch. Six bags are then sealed into a #10 steel can with oxygen absorbers for long shelf life. Current product has a "best if used by" date of April 2016, and will remain usable well beyond that date. Each case contains two #10 cans, so the full case contains 144 eggs. Packing this way provides extended shelf life, and when you open a can you need only open one pouch at a time, so the rest of the eggs in the can remain sealed in their airtight pouches. A replaceable plastic lid is provided for each #10 can. See the next paragraph for the other packaging option.

(Or...) Bulk single can: In this option, 106 eggs are sealed into a single 2.5 pound (net wt.) airtight foil bag. The bag is then sealed into a #10 steel can with oxygen absorbers for long shelf life (equal to the 12-egg pouch shelf life.) A replaceable plastic lid is provided for the #10 can.

On-shelf storage: No refrigeration is required EVEN after you open a pouch!

They're highly rigid and stackable, with stabilizing moldings to prevent shifting when stacked. Vent cap for small opening is included with jug. Cap for large opening is sold separately and has a center hole with knockout, threaded for 3/4" pipe fitting (will accept optional spigot, etc.) Comfortable carry handle is molded in. Rectangular shape maximizes storage volume in available space. We greatly prefer these water jugs over larger drums which are virtually immovable after filling.
