Security FoodPak 1 (details on this page) is a complete 1-year emergency food package and is the most popular FoodPak solution; you need only add cooking oil obtained locally.

Security FoodPak 2 duplicates FoodPak 1 minus the 9 Superbuckets of wheat and beans, four #10-size cans of sugar, and the bucket-lid remover. FoodPak 2 appeals to some who have ready availability of grains and beans locally. Don't overlook, however, that if you purchase grains and beans locally w/o long life oxygen-free packaging, shelf life of those components could be reduced greatly compared to purchasing FoodPak 1 with its oxygen-free, sealed Superbuckets.

Security FoodPak 3 offers a very basic, extremely inexpensive, 1-year food-insurance policy. It is essentially the bulk grains & beans from FoodPak 1.

Deluxe one-year supply: This unit, along with a multivitamin and 4 gallons of cooking oil you add yourself (and clean water of course), supplies all the nutrients you need to stay well-fed for an entire year. The foods are all dehydrated or dry, and sealed in robust, oxygen-free packaging. In this very compact form they will store well and require minimal storage space. This 802 lb unit comes in 14 cases and 9 six-gallon Superbuckets. Storage area required is just 33 cubic feet (stacking example: 13" by 74" by 59".) We stick with a very modest margin on our FoodPaks. There’s no compromise on quality, and we’ve known for a long time that you can’t buy better food, or more food for the cost, anywhere. You need to add to this food storage package:

A.) Four gallons cooking oil for your fatty acid requirements. We offer Ghee (clarified butter) which is very healthful and has an extremely long shelf life. If you choose a vegetable oil, it should be rotated annually because vegetable oils do not have an extended shelf life. We recommend Expeller Pressed Canola Oil as a very healthful vegetable oil choice, both for storage as well as for your everyday needs.

B.) A multi-vitamin supplement.
Substitutions of equivalent foods occur occasionally, due to availability. (Example: Apple drink mix might be substituted for peach drink mix.)
Mix-A-Meal Cookbook is included: 110 pages of recipes for cooking with dry stored foods.

Note: All of the #10 cans listed above come completely sealed (water-tight and air-tight.) You also get a plastic snap-on lid to put onto each can after opening. To preserve maximum freshness and shelf-life after opening a #10 can, we recommend that after opening a can, you subdivide the contents into smaller containers with tightly fitting screw-on caps. These could be saved disposable food containers (like mayonnaise or pickle jars, for example), or you could just purchase some Mason jars and lids locally. Another option is our clear bulk containers in gallon and half-gallon sizes. Subdividing this way will allow you to return the majority of the contents of a #10 can to storage in a cool, dry place, while keeping one container handy in your food preparation area. Following this practice will help ensure that once the #10 can is opened, all of its contents remain good until you use them up.

Related Items: Many mills are available for grinding grains into flour. If you don't already have a grain mill, a quality, economical choice is the Family Grain Mill. Another excellent mill, which is extremely heavy-duty, is the Country Living Mill. A mill can be ordered with your FoodPak or the mill may be ordered separately. Clean water is necessary for drinking as well as for food preparation; Berkey Water Purifiers operate by gravity (no electricity required) and are unequalled in their efficiency and effectiveness.

Two-can case of 12-egg pouches: Our Ova Easy eggs are available in two packaging choices. In the first option, 12 eggs are sealed into each 4.5 ounce (net wt.) airtight foil pouch. Six bags are then sealed into a #10 steel can with oxygen absorbers for long shelf life. Current product has a "best if used by" date of April 2016, and will remain usable well beyond that date. Each case contains two #10 cans, so the full case contains 144 eggs. Packing this way provides extended shelf life, and when you open a can you need only open one pouch at a time, so the rest of the eggs in the can remain sealed in their airtight pouches. A replaceable plastic lid is provided for each #10 can. See the next paragraph for the other packaging option.

(Or...) Bulk single can: In this option, 106 eggs are sealed into a single 2.5 pound (net wt.) airtight foil bag. The bag is then sealed into a #10 steel can with oxygen absorbers for long shelf life (equal to the 12-egg pouch shelf life.) A replaceable plastic lid is provided for the #10 can.

On-shelf storage: No refrigeration is required EVEN after you open a pouch!

They're highly rigid and stackable, with stabilizing moldings to prevent shifting when stacked. Vent cap for small opening is included with jug. Cap for large opening is sold separately and has a center hole with knockout, threaded for 3/4" pipe fitting (will accept optional spigot, etc.) Comfortable carry handle is molded in.
