Incredible fuel efficiency & speed: For anyone who needs to prepare food off-grid, one of the tools we recommend most highly is a quality pressure cooker. Not a big heavy pressure canner, but a cooker designed for meal-size cooking. There's a new generation of pressure cookers and they provide two huge advantages over conventional cooking. First is fuel efficiency: Energy is already high priced and just keeps getting more expensive and scarce. Whatever heat source you use, from electricity to stove fuel to wood, you can cook with 70% LESS of it, with a pressure cooker. You can also cook in 70% less time. The principal reason pressure cookers aren't in every home is that, years ago, they were hazardous and tricky to use. Well... compare the telephone of the 1950's to the iPhone... that's how different today's advanced pressure cookers are; they are radically different. We offer two standout lines, BRK and Kuhn Rikon.
