The LaMilpa Mill by CS Bell: The LaMilpa mill uses large, wear-resistant iron alloy burrs for rapid and efficient grinding of a wide range of dry or wet materials (see partial list below.) It comes equipped with both fine and coarse burrs and can be purchased either as a complete, powered package or as the "mill-only" (lower picture at left.) Production Rate: The LaMilpa mill grinds 7 lbs./minute of whole wheat flour or 8 lbs/minute of corn meal when using the fine burrs. Output is faster with the coarse burrs, with actual production rate depending on the coarseness of the grind. Fully Adjustable: An easy-adjusting knob provides infinite adjustment from very fine to extremely coarse or anywhere between, so you can quickly select the texture you want. Easy Maintenance: The burrs of the LaMilpa mill never require dressing and their iron alloy composition is long-wearing. Replacement, when required, takes 10 minutes. Mill body is high strength cast iron with non-toxic enamel finish. (The mill can be custom built with food-contact parts of stainless steel and chrome if required.) Wet Or Dry Milling: Most mills can grind only dry, flowable materials. The LaMilpa mill can grind wet or oily materials because its burrs are non-porous and because it has an internal feed auger that forces nonflowable materials into the burrs. The mill inlet at the bottom of the LaMilpa hopper measures 2.25" x 5.25". The LaMilpa's design allows it to grind a wide array of wet, oily or dry materials including:
Warranty: All C.S. Bell mills carry a full 1 year manufacturer's warranty. Weight: Net weight of the LaMilpa mill with 3-phase motor is 300 lbs. (w/o mobile base or hopper extension.) LaMilpa Mill Package: Includes LaMilpa burr mill with coarse burrs, fine burrs, 12" drive pulley, discharge spout, base frame with motor mount, 25' plugged power cord, V-belts, 3" motor pulley and belt guard. Electric motor is 5HP, 230/460V, 3-Phase, 60 HZ, 1750 RPM, TEFC with starter, on/off control and thermal protection. Hopper and stand with casters not included. (See accessories and optional 1-phase motor below.)
Accessories available for LaMilpa mill: 1-Phase Motor Option: If you do not have 3-phase electrical service where you want to use the mill, you will need a 220V motor. This option is $181.00 in addition to the package price above. Check with your electrician if you do not know whether you have 3-phase power. For use outside the U.S., if the electrical service is 50HZ, motor options include: 220/380/440V/3-Phase/50Hz: Add $118.00. For 220V/1-Phase/50Hz: Add $783.00. Mobile Base: Base as shown in upper photo at left. Equipped with 6" casters and brake locks. (Note: The 38" and 24" mobile bases include legs. The 18" mobile base includes casters, but not legs, because the mobile base plate and casters achieve the 18" discharge height without legs.)
