You can save money with our quality canned meats... even though they cost a little more than refrigerated meats. Sound backward? And that's not all... we're also going to tell you that these meats easily do things that regular fresh meat can't. Sound crazy? Well, hear us out...
"Pssst... Hey buddy, wanna buy a can of electricity?" Consider an analogy... The national average cost of electricity is less than ten cents per kilowatt hour. With that ten cents worth of power you can light a 40 watt bulb for 25 hours. Now imagine that a salesman at your door offered to sell you the same amount of electricity, "in canned form, for the bargain price of $3.00." (Compared to the ten cents you've been paying your utility company.) You'd send the salesman packing, right? Well, it might surprise you to learn that you actually have been buying canned electricity, at a similar price premium over "wall power" — and, if you're like us, you've been buying quite a bit of it. Because "canned electricity" is just another name for batteries. We wouldn't suggest replacing all the power you get from the wall socket with battery power. But for many uses, "canned electricity" is so useful and convenient you'd probably have a hard time getting along without it. Think about those cans of electricity in your flashlight, portable radio, MP3 player, camera, cell phone... the list goes on and on. Considering what it can do, in fact, canned electricity actually is a real bargain. And our canned meats offer the very same sort of value, with one big exception: The cost difference between our canned meats and the "uncanned" kind is miniscule compared to the premium we gladly pay for the convenience of canned electricity!
"Where's the Beef?" (And for that matter, the chicken and the turkey?!) Fresh meat is terrific! You pick some up when you're grocery shopping, put it in your fridge, maybe your freezer, and use it in delicious stir fries, roll-ups, casseroles... burgers on the grill. But then something happens... it's gone! There's more at the store, but the store is "there" and you are "here." Or you need it "now," and going to get it would mean... "later." This conundrum generally has three components: Availability, Transportation Cost, & Time.
Availability: Your menu plans require some meat, and you're fresh out, if you'll pardon the pun. Of course it's possible that you never forget to buy enough, but then you probably never lose your keys or misplace your glasses, either. (If this is true, we don't want to hear about it. Really.) For the rest of us, it's a problem from time to time. And when it happens, going away to pick up some meat hasn't been factored into our plans. In fact it may just not be possible, practically speaking. At such times, having a variety of excellent canned meats to select from means you don't have to change plans or do without... you just reach for a can of some of the finest meat you'll ever eat, without skipping a beat.
Transportation Cost: Far be it from us to bring up something as painful as the price of gasoline. But we don't mind telling you that ordering our canned chicken, beef or turkey for delivery to your door won't involve buying any gas at all. There's a close connection these days between your bank balance and the needle on your gas gauge. Leave the mileage off your car — FedEx was coming through your neighborhood anyway!
Time: Time is money, they say. If you know what your time is worth in "dollar terms" you can easily figure out how much extra trips to the store add to (or should we say, "take away from") your food budget. But time is more than money too, isn't it? Time is also the opportunity to do what you want to do for a while... and for most of us, some extra city driving isn't high on our to-do list. And there's more: Our meats save you preparation time! There's no trimming or cutting to do, and since they're fully precooked, you just heat and serve!
General Preparedness & Portability: We're being advised from many quarters, today, to have some food on hand for one kind of emergency development or another. A variety of circumstances can create a short-term or even long-term need to have food on hand — and food that doesn't require refrigeration, in the event that power goes out for any length of time. There are folks who are happy to eat macaroni and tofu indefinitely, but most appetites want some meat on the plate and there's no tastier or more nutritious solution than our canned chicken, canned turkey and canned beef. The FDA says canned meats are good for no less than 2-3 years (this falls under the category of "things you can't do with fresh meat.") But customers have reported enjoying meat from our cannery after 5, 10 and even 15 years, and finding that it was still in excellent, appetizing shape. That may sound amazing, but knowing the quality of the product and the care that goes into the canning process, we aren't at all surprised. In addition to their long shelf life, our canned meats also offer electricity-free portability. Take them camping, haul them to your cabin, you name it... and you never have to worry about whether they'll "keep." They will!
By the case... or Buy the sampler: We offer two ways to purchase our quality canned meats. If you know what you want (maybe you're already coming back for more), a case is twelve cans. Net weight of each can is 1.75 lbs. If you want to try before you order by the case, we offer two sampler products: One includes each of the chicken and turkey products, and the other has one can of each of the beef products.
