New Bosch Solitaire Features: Bosch Solitaire drives all accessories off a single mounting position. Its concentric drive shaft system, pictured at left, provides four different couplers. In conjunction with the 4-speed soft-start transmission, this provides a choice of 16 speeds + pulse control! Food Processor Has the traditional food processor knife blade in the bottom of the bowl for chopping and mixing. Also included are 3 slicing and shredding disks used at the top of the bowl: Slicing (reversible thick and thin), Shredding and Grating (reversible fine and coarse), and Potato Grating.

The Concept Bowl Slicer/Shredder cuts produce, cheese, nuts, chocolate, etc., directly into its medium capacity bowl. Comes with 3 disks: Shredding (reversible coarse and fine); Slicing (reversible thick and thin); and medium grater. Other accessory blades can also be added: Julienne, French Fry, and Rasping/Coarse Grating. 

Solitaire mixers sold in the U.S. come with dough hooks designed for sale in Europe (pictured at right in photo -- the one with the black plastic part.) Most European Bosch owners don't make bread with their mixers... they buy it from the local baker as a matter of tradition. Every American baker we've spoken to who has used the standard European hook has found it to be unsatisfactory (in fact some more pointed words have been used.) If you want to make bread in your Solitaire, we recommend ordering the accessory heavy duty all-stainless dough hook pictured at far left (the one w/o the black plastic part.) It does an outstanding job of kneading. It has an entirely different shape and is several times more massive than the European hook.

Choose Angled or Straight Adapter: Either of these adapters will let you use the Universal food/meat grinder and grinder-mounted accessories (which are shown below) on your Bosch Solitaire Mixer drive base. The angled adapter (upper picture at left, shown on Concept 7 with white plastic base) allows the Solitaire base to sit in its normal position while running the grinder. When using the grinder with the straight adapter (pictured between Concept 7 base and grinder in lower picture at left), the Solitaire base is turned on its side as shown. (A pair of self-adhesive anti-slip rubber strips are included with the straight adapter to be fastened to one side of the Solitaire base.) For the small price difference, we recommend the angled adapter over the straight model because it attaches easier, the anti-slip rubber strips aren't very attractive on the side of the Solitaire, and simply so you can leave the Solitaire base in its normal position. Universal System Grinder Allows you to grind and mince meats, stuffings, and virtually all foods into any desired consistency. Comes with a 4.5 mm disk for general use; other sizes are available.

The Solitaire/Universal Adapter listed above is required to fit this Universal System meat grinder to the Concept 7 machine. 

The meat grinder, in turn, is the basic attachment for these other optional accessories: Fruit and Berry Press, Grater for nuts and hard cheeses, Sausage Stuffer, Cookie and Pastry Press, and the Pasta Maker attachment; these accessories are listed below.
