Bosch Concept 7 Mixer Supplemental Information

The straight accessory adapter for the Bosch Concept 7 Mixer includes an extension for the support leg of the grinder accessory. This image illustrates how the leg extension fits onto the Universal grinder. (If you use the angled adapter for the Concept rather than the straight adapter, then this extension is not needed or included.) The standard leg is the longer white part. The extension is the short white part and for the purpose of illustration it is shown slid only half way into place.

The attachment collar of the straight accessory adapter for the Bosch Concept 7 Mixer has a small notch (indicated by arrows at left.) The notch allows any liquid that may get past the grinder drive shaft to drain away so that it doesn't get into the adapter. It's possible to mount the adapter onto the Concept 7 base with the notch in either the upward position or the downward position, but you should aways be sure to operate it with the notch downward. Proper drainage will not occur if the notch is in the upward position. (Remember that when using the straight adapter, the Concept 7 base is turned on its side.)

The straight accessory adapter for the Bosch Concept 7 Mixer includes two self adhesive anti-slip strips that can be attached to either side of the base unit. The strips provide slip-resistant footing when the mixer is turned on its side to operate the meat grinder using the straight accessory adapter. This image shows the strips attached to the right hand side of the Concept 7 mixer. If you purchase the angled accessory adapter rather than the straight adapter, these strips are not necessary because with the angled adapter, the Concept 7 remains in the normal position to operate the meat grinder. At Pleasant Hill Grain we've found the angled grinder to be well worth the additional cost compared to the straight adapter.
